3/09/20-- FRAMINGHAM-- View of the full moon Monday evening known as the "worm moon" from the Coco Ridge Trail at Callahan State Park. A super moon occurs when the moon's orbit is closest (perigee) to earth at the same time it is full, according to NASA. It is called a worm moon because it happens when the ground is soft enough to allow earthworms to appear, marking the beginning of Spring. [Daily News and Wicked Local Staff Photo/Art Illman]
